We practice what we preach
The advice we give landlords and investors is not based on theory. It is based on what we are doing ourselves.
The Storm Property Group is actively investing millions of pounds into the North East – buying and renovating properties, developing new homes and commercial units, and building a portfolio we manage to the same standards we hold every other landlord to. When we say that a well-maintained property attracts better tenants and achieves stronger rents, it is because we see it in our own portfolio every month.
That matters. The guidance we give on rental values, property improvements, tenant selection, and long-term investment strategy comes from direct, current experience – not from a training manual or an industry report. We are active investors in this area, not just advisers talking about it.
We are also committed to the North East in a way that goes beyond managing tenancies or completing developments. The investment we make in this region – the properties we renovate, the commercial units we bring back into use, the jobs we support – is a deliberate choice to build something here that lasts. When Hartlepool and the wider North East does well, so do we. That alignment is not incidental. It is the whole point.

The People Behind It
The single most important decision we make at Storm is who we hire.
Property is a people business. Every tenancy represents a family who needs somewhere to live and a landlord who has trusted us with their investment. Every development represents a community that will be affected by what we build and how we build it. Getting that right comes down to the people doing the work – and whether they actually care about doing it well.
Every person we bring into the Storm Property Group is selected on that basis. Not just on experience or qualifications, but on character. On whether they take pride in doing things properly, follow through on what they say they will do, and understand that the standards we hold ourselves to are not a marketing position – they are how we operate.
That is true across every part of the group. Whether it is a lettings coordinator handling a tenant’s maintenance request or a project manager delivering a development on site, the same expectation applies. We would rather have a smaller team of people who genuinely care than a larger one that does not.
